This is one of those Austin Music Minutes that gives you an earful, because your humble AMM host wanted to share new music by two bands today: Indie/punk outfit Closet Drama and and power pop quartet Gentlemen Rogues.
Closet Drama is celebrating the release of their new album, Devastation Does It Every Time, recorded in March at the Orb (along with a special release of a limited edition “coke bottle clear” 7-inch vinyl with the tracks “Model Years” and “Weighted”), and Gentlemen Rogues released a new single last month, “Mocking Love Out of Nothing At All,” which they paired with the track “Mountains of Your Head” on 7-inch vinyl .
No doubt you’ll experience all of this greatness at Closet Drama’s release show tonight at Holy Mountain, 617 E. 7th St., along with performances by rock trio Burning Avalanche and rock punks White Sails. Superb line-up. Very recommended.
