Anderson Paak and producer Knxwledge made their 2016 debut as NxWorries with the hedonistic vibes of Yes Lawd!, a straight-up party living large and owning it. Then reality rolled up with 2024’s Why Lawd?, but this album is not moping in the corner. Far from it. With exceptional production, Paak & Knxwledge lean into a sense of moving forward through the paybacks, from rejected love to self-doubt and denial.
NxWorries’ Why Lawd? tour includes a stop in Austin tonight at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater. Doors at 7 p.m., with Rae Khalil opening the show.
