Pecan Street Party-Down

Expect a ton of music in the streets this weekend, quite literally. Nothing too unusual when you’re in the middle of Downtown Austin, granted, but the Pecan Street Festival gives the area a different life altogether.

The bi-annual fest, held every May and September, completely takes over 6th St. with a multitude of artists, artisans and craft masters from around the world. And let’s not forget the abundance of live music by local and touring bands on three different stages. The festival takes place today until 10 p.m., and tomorrow from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

You can visit the Pecan Street Festival website for a full list of bands and performance times, but here are a handful of recommendations for you to consider:

TodayLittle Radar, Pompeii, The Pons, Endwave, Mobley

TomorrowThe Boxing Lesson, Residual Kid, Boy + Kite, Emily Bell, Oh Look Out, El Tule, Gina Chavez
