RAZZFEST is an event curated to celebrate the intersection of rap and jazz music, hosted by Sahar Studios and LA independent jazz label Minaret Records. RAZZFEST happens tonight at Empire Control Room and Garage on E. 7th, featuring live performances in the Garage, beatsets in the patio, and film screenings in the Control Room.
Featured artists include Grammy-nominated producer and drummer Kassa Overall, Detroit producer/rapper/songwriter Quelle Chris, Austin rap artist/songwriter Blakchyl, musician e. artifact, jazz duo Henry Solomon & Devin Daniels, Austin rapper/songwriter J Soulja, funk/jazz/soul outfit extraordinaire Mockjaw, and “class conscious rap nonsense” Freebloo&TheFreak. Doors open early at 5 p.m.
