Ruby Tuesdays

At the ripe ol’ age of 9, Ruby Jane was the youngest person ever to be invited to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. It was already apparent that this young artist would be wowing new fans with her fiddle-playing prowess, and she’s been doing just that ever since. She’s opened shows for Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, Lyle Lovett and Local Natives – a handful of big shot artists impressed with her talent. And a musician of her caliber knows how to work a bit of everything into her songwriting, from folk to rock, funk and even jazz.

Ruby Jane has two more shows remaining in her “Ruby Tuesdays” residency at Cheer Up Charlie’s, 900 Red River. You can see her perform there tonight, with groove rockers Mamafesta and Truck Month (featuring members of Mother Falcon). The music begins at 9:30 p.m. Recommended.
