Who: KUTX host John Parsons recently had The Zoltars in Studio 1A for a performance. As you’ve heard on the Austin Music Minute previously, I credit Parsons for getting me hooked on The Zoltars, especially after the release of their second album, Walking Through the Dark. This week, they released a new self-titled full-length, and once again songwriter Jared Leibowich shows another side to the band’s garage roots with a slightly more stripped-down sound leaning more toward melodic psych-pop. Definitely worth checking out.
What: It’s time for a Zoltars album release show, and it’s another good one!
When and where: You get the full deal tonight at Hotel Vegas, 1500 E. 6th St., with Ghetto Ghouls, Beth Isreal, and The French Inhales.
Why: All excellent. Get there early to see them all. Recommended.
