Getting through this crazy SXSW week can be challenging, but the Austin Music Minute is here with a few recommendations for your perusal. Check ’em out:
– Here’s one that your humble AMM hostess is rather excited about. It’s the You’re Here daytime showcase, with shows today through Saturday afternoon at the Ground Floor Theater, 979 Springdale Rd. It’s presented by several wonderful musical resources – Attendance Records, punctum records, Riot Act Media, Estuary Recording, Pop Press International, Accrue Cassettes, Mama Bird Recording Co., and Church of the Friendly Ghost. Today features Major Major Major, Growl, Roger Sellers, Walker Lukens and more.
– Tonight, lots of awesomeness to be expected at the Modern Outsider Records & Management showcase at the Red Eyed Fly, 715 Red River, with lots of local stand-outs like Moving Panoramas, Quiet Company, Black Pistol Fire and more.
– The Floodfest showcase is another badass one, happening tonight at Cedar Street Courtyard, 208 W. 4th, with sets by The Vaccines, King Tuff, Courtney Barnett and more.
