Spectral Delights

It’s that most wonderful time of the year! Welcome, foolish mortals, to this year’s Austin Music Minute Halloween show recommendations!

Take your pick from these spooktacular selections. And mind your drool, fiends:

It’s all in support of our local musicians! It’s the HAAM-o-ween benefit for the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians at The White Horse, featuring Anthony Ray Wright, Leo Rondeau and Roger Wallace. Demon cowboys. Sign me up.

– Presenting Brownout as Brown Sabbath at The Belmont, with the Golden Dawn Arkestra. Ozzy would be so proud he’d chomp another bat. But I’d tell him no, please be nice to the bats…

– The 11th Annual White Ghost Shivers Halloween Ball, this year invading Gruene Hall. People come from near and far to witness the stunning feats of these…murderous clowns.

– Are you the walking dead, perhaps? Head to the 6th Annual Zombie Ball at ACL Live at The Moody Theater, featuring Neon Trees and T-Bird & The Breaks. Shake it – but since you’re zombified, do be careful, you’ll probably break it.

– The Addams Family, that is. It’s Roky Erickson’s Celebration of A Family Curse at the Charles Johnson House American Legion, in support of The SIMS Foundation. You rang?

So much to do! Be safe and have fun, darlings. And, in the words of the immortal Mistress of the Dark, “Unpleasant dreams…”
