Blue is the hue. It happens to be on fire. So says your Austin Music Minute maven in a smitten rave over Honeyrude‘s latest release, The Color Blue, a fitting title for an inner exploration of emotional growth, but an album searing with equal parts straightforward, high-volume rocking-out and swirling, shapeshifting shoegaze. The mood, perhaps, is indigo. The music, however, is electrifyingly cobalt.
Treat yourself to Honeyrude’s album release show tonight at Hole In the Wall, 2538 Guadalupe. Expect a killer night with Magnet School and Silver Bars in the line-up. This one comes very recommended.
