Who: Songwriter Justin Fallen sees The Rock and Roll Kids as a “twenty minute snapshot” of nearly two years’ worth of dedication, endless work, and emotional roller-coaster trips on the new EP. “This is, for me, the finale of a hell of a lot of joy, sweat and tears,” he explains, “and it may be the last time I play with (his band) the Angels.” However, this is not the end of the music; Fallen already has new project ideas in the works.
What: The Rock and Roll Kids shows what Fallen is so passionate about: The timeless tradition of great storytelling in Texas songwriting. He proudly carries that torch with big doses of rock, country and soul coursing through his veins. And tonight, Justin Fallen & The Angels are celebrating the new EP’s release.
When and where: See them at the Hole In the Wall, 2538 Guadalupe. The line-up features Daniel Eyes, the Eric Hisaw Band, and Gentle Wolves starting out the show at 9 p.m., celebrating their own new full-length release, Set II. Songwriter Greg Mullen has an early show at 8 p.m. Recommended.
