Following a couple of months off, Austin-based quartet Farmer’s Wife leapt back on in a rapturous thunder to share two hauntingly gorgeous cinematic videos for “Bleeder” and “Pool Song,” directed by Joe Marks and Molly Masson, and to unleash their new five-song EP There’s A Monster, produced by Ernesto Grey, with a show last month at Mohawk. An explosive way of saying, “WE’RE BACK!!” but expect no less from the dream-grunge outfit formerly known as Sludge.
Make that, the dream-grunge band of your most favorite nightmares… xo. Catch Farmer’s Wife at the kickoff of their new residency tonight, Tuesday Nov. 7, at Hotel Vegas, featuring Sad Cell and Stalefish on the bill. Doors at 9 p.m. And the band has declared tonight’s show a Farmers vs. Aliens costume party. Dress accordingly and get ready to rumble.
