All right, so it’s a day early, but this is where to spend your Tuesday night. There’s a show at Hole In the Wall with three local artists to keep on your radar:
- Composer and multi-instrumentalist Mari Maurice’s project More Eaze presents a new album, Strawberry Season, out Nov. 9. Within a swirl of classical arrangements, found sound and absolute elegance, Maurice constructs a meditative and unique beauty. Strawberries typically ripen in the spring, but…do seasons even exist anymore?
- From distant regions in the land known as…West Campus, experimental art-rockers Photokem break the molds and blend the genres on their debut EP, Luffon Bright. Vocalist Nana Acheampong provides the power baritone on this introspective post-punk/orchestral mind poetry.
- Featured on today’s AMM is the band bringing you “soft songs played loud,” Alexalone. Songwriter/vocalist/musician Alex Peterson morphed from a one-person band to a more collaborative, multi-layered experience, guiding listeners through the internal/external paradoxes of the Alexaloneworld universe.
See them all tomorrow night, Tuesday Oct. 25, at Hole In the Wall. Doors at 9 p.m.
