Buffalo Nichols

My KUTX // November 27, 2021

Buffalo Nichols is the November 2021 Artist of the Month.

Austin’s Buffalo Nichols draws extensively from the American blues tradition on his self-titled debut. With his open-hearted songwriting and expressive guitar playing, he shows how these traditions can directly apply to a modern context. As our guest DJ this week on My KUTX, Nichols digs into his influences, which range from American folk styles to West African blues, French pop music, and cutting edge music from Ukraine. Hear Buffalo Nichols’ My KUTX on Saturday, November 27 at 6 p.m. or listen anytime in the player above.
