If you weren’t already familiar with Fernandina Beach five-piece flipturn around this time last year, odds are you discovered them through their ACL appearance back in October. And especially after the personal performance flipturn gave KUTX backstage, we couldn’t wait to see them back in town.
Well, 2025 marks two major milestones for flipturn: the band’s 10-year anniversary and the release of their sophomore full-length Burnout Days. Lucky for us, the Burnout Days tour included a stop at Stubb’s in late February. That’s when fronting vocalist Dillon Basse and synthesizer-guitarist Mitch Fountain came through the KUTX studios to put their own spin on our airwaves.
