My KUTX: Israel Nash

Israel Nash is a big fan of community. In addition to the several albums he’s made with his ever-evolving band, Nash has played with the Bright Light Social Hour and thrown an inclusive SXSW party at his Dripping Springs ranch the past few years. Lifted, Nash’s fifth album (out July 27), beams with this neighborly feeling, putting a Hill Country spin on psychedelic rock.

We’re pleased to have him back as our guest DJ, spinning an hour of music that’s currently obsessed him. That includes everything from old soul and George Harrison’s Wall of Sound to the music his Austin friends are making at the moment. Hear Israel Nash’s My KUTX on Saturday, July 21, 6 to 7 p.m. or anytime at the bottom of the page. Nash also plays Studio 1A on July 26 at 3 p.m. and the Scoot Inn on July 27.
