My KUTX: Jess Williamson

Jess Williamson moved from Austin to L.A. a few years back, but she still holds tight to some local roots. Her just-released third album, Cosmic Wink, was recorded at Dan Duszynski’s studio in Dripping Springs, the space that helped shape Loma and KUTX Artist of the Month alumni Cross Record. Austin’s RF Shannon served as Williamson’s backing band on Cosmic Wink, lending a Hill Country haze to Williamson’s country/folk songs.

This week on My KUTX, Williamson is back in town to host her very own guest DJ set. Hear it on Saturday, June 2, 6 to 7 p.m. or anytime at the bottom of the page.
