Going back to the gritty glory days of Raul’s and Club Foot – who hosted international acts and local legends alike – Austin’s long been a hub for punk rock music. And as punk’s powered through all kinds of subgenre transformations in the decades since, the scene within the Live Music Capital has only continued to thrive.
Among the roster of more recent hometown acts is the four-piece Lola Tried, founded and fronted by singer-songwriter-guitarist Lauren Burton. This Fall Lola Tried has kept fans stuffed with the release of their latest EP FEAST, which you can hear live on Thursday, December 4th at Hole in the Wall. Between that show and a performance by her Misfits tribute group Missfits on Sunday, December 7th at The Mohawk for the Safe Alliance Toy Drive Krampus Party, Burton’s baked up a post-Thanksgiving feast of a playlist that’s perfect to stir up a pit or scare your parents.
