It’s safe to say that Ray Wylie Hubbard is a Texas legend, but it’s not as if anyone handed him that title. He worked for it, constantly touring across the country and writing and recording new music. He’s played music professionally for nearly 50 years now, and has been at the forefront of several movements within country music, especially the progressive country music movement of the 1970s. Each of the more than fifteen albums he has put out throughout his career have explored different facets of the country genre, all the while maintaining his gritty and bluesy playing style.
We’re so excited Ray Wylie Hubbard agreed to play KUTX Guest DJ for an hour. Tune in this Saturday, December 21 at 6pm to hear some of his favorite songs.
