What unites music and sports? Passion. This week on My KUTX, we’re excited to turn over the guest DJ keys to Chris Del Conte, the Athletics Director for the University of Texas at Austin. Since coming to Austin in 2017 from TCU, Del Conte has helped bring a lot of passion and atmosphere back to game day events on the UT campus. Unsurprisingly, he’s also an enthusiastic music fan. His guest DJ set features ’60s and ’70s-era rock that’s traveled with him throughout his life: rocking out to ZZ Top with his brother on a school bus in New Mexico; sharing a love of Led Zeppelin with his daughters; California college memories soundtracked by the Doors; and more.
