Rock-and-roll hall of famer Ian McLagan has worked with dozens of artists—Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen are just the tip of the iceberg. The longtime Austin resident is a busy man, and this week on the Austin Music Experience we talk with McLagan about his new album United States, and a reunion on the horizon with his old bands the Faces and the Small Faces. Plus, back and forth with Canadian supergroup stars the New Pornographers–one from the live archives and a taste of their upcoming album. Also, happy birthdays all around! Kris Kristofferson, Austin City Limits (the TV show), and the funkiness of the Hole In The Wall get their birthday wishes. Join us Friday at noon and again at 11 pm on KUTX 98.9.
