Chief Cleopatra grew up in Corsicana, Texas playing in her church band and high school drum line. With a move to Austin, her own music caught the ear of KUTX’s The Breaks. They featured Chief Cleopatra on their annual hip-hop/R&B showcase Summer Jam and last month, we made her our Artist of the Month.
On her new EP Luna, Chief Cleopatra teamed up with Austin’s Walker Lukens and the Bright Light Social Hour. The music is a good reflection of the Austin music scene, blending R&B with psychedelic rock.
