Kevin Morby’s new album Singing Saw begins east at the banks of the Hudson River, meanders through the mountains of Appalachia, speeds down the open roads of the midwest, and settles comfortably in the cool breeze of Los Angeles. The record is as groovy as it is psychedelic; as uplifting as it is mellon collie.

Released on Dead Oceans along artists like Bleached, Mitski, and Tallest Man on Earth, Singing Saw is Morby’s third studio album under his solo project. The album illustrates a mature transformation in both instrumentation and production from Morby’s previous work under The Babies and Woods. For fans of: Andrew Bird, Kurt Vile, Edward Share & Magnetic Zeros.

Kevin Morby visited Studio 1A last week for play a few tracks off his newest album. Check out the performance down below.
