Born in raised on the Texas/Louisiana border, Dr. Zog spends his days fusing Louisiana bayou music and Central Texas psychedelic country. Sounds weird, right? Well, it is, and it’s awesome. Zog has been based in Austin since the late 80’s, and has been making his way around roadhouses and festivals in central texas ever since. His music is heavily influenced by Zydeco; it’s upbeat, happy, and it tastes like crayfish and gumbo. Dr. Zog came by to promote a show he’s playing this weekend with Austin Samba, a mardi gras explosion of incredible dance music. Check out his session below!
