Robert Ellis is a singer-songwriter of intriguing versatility.
The Texas native, now based out of Nashville, Tennessee, has come to create an evolving blend of country, bluegrass, folk, and pop, expanding beyond his classically country roots. Influenced by a wide array of artists, Ellis’s most recent release, 2014’s The Lights from the Chemical Plant produced by Jacquire King, gracefully engages his unexpected pop and jazz influences. Ellis’s voice elicits a familiarity while delivering his cutting lyrics, and the sweeping instrumentation becomes an invitation to an evolving world of melody.
