Vocalist Michael Slattery and guitarist Todd Kassens formed the band Shoulders after they met at UT in the early 80s, eventually adding drummer Alan Gene Williams and bassist Chris Black. They released their debut album, Trashman Shoes, in 1992, and though they never made it big in the states, their album was distributed across Europe, topping the French charts. The Austin powerhouse band are now making a comeback with the release of their new album Another Round, on October 26, which features their signature brand of cabaret rock ‘n roll, complete with bohemian lyrics and influences of jazz, rock, folk, and blues.
