Austin five-piece Shy Beast is serving up indie-dream-pop to die for. Formerly known as MGC, the group rose like the proverbial phoenix earlier this year. Shy Beast is now a fully matured musical animal. Heading up the act is Marieclaire (MC) Glaeser; taking the mantle of songwriter, singer and keyboardist. She is the creative heart of the group and a real force to be reckoned with; tracks abound with her lovely vocal acrobatics. This month sees the release of their much anticipated self-titled debut. The electro-pop record will have you rambling through forests, chasing complex melodies and soaring harmonies; it’s a real delight for the ears.
