Local rockers the Happen-Ins deliver a long-gone rock ‘n’ roll attitude with short bursts of electric guitars, a lot of groove, and a solid sneer for good measure.
Formed in Austin in 2009, the Happen-Ins, now comprised of Sean Faires, John Michael Schoepf, Falcon Valdez, and Evan Charles, came together from members of bands like the Dedringers, Lomita, and Harlem Spiritual Orchestra. Their self-titled debut delivered a taster of tight-knit rock ‘n’ roll with an R&B twist, celebrating classic sounds and a mischievous flair for melody. After taking some time to tour and regroup, the band is now back with a new album titled Glamour Shots, produced by Mike McCarthy and set to be released in April.
