My KUTX: Harvest Thieves

Each month, we turn a spotlight on a notable local band. Harvest Thieves are January’s KUTX Artist of the Month, and you can find more features here.

Harvest Thieves love alt-country, and they’re not afraid to show it. On the Austin band’s debut album, Rival, they tap into the spirit of Uncle Tupelo and Whiskeytown while balancing the twang with some punk rock energy. This week on My KUTX, singer/guitarist Cory Reinisch and bassist Dustin Meyer are our guest DJs, talking about the music that influenced them and spinning some of their favorite songs. Listen anytime in the player at the bottom of the page.

Catch Harvest Thieves live in Studio 1A on Thursday, January 27 at 8 p.m. and at the Cactus Cafe on January 28.
