L.C. Franke in Studio 1A 8.1.24

It’s the soft sound of a piano paired beautifully with strings that’s slowly piercing your heart, seductively drawing you in. It sounds so familiar, though you can’t quite place it. Then, it dawns on you. It’s the croon to make you swoon. The striking, enigmatic figure of L.C. Franke steps up to the microphone and transports you to a ruby-lit nightclub of days gone by.

Yet this is neither retrospective nor tribute. Someone like Sinatra might feel right at home with this vibe, but Franke is a seasoned artist exploring a different avenue in this iteration of his career. He’s reverential of the great balladeers before his time, but providing his own unique spin on this classic style, bringing it to the present.

Franke has previously opened for The Walkmen and The Wallflowers, made his solo headlining debut to a sold-out room at Monks Jazz Club, took his show to L.A. and New York City, and recently celebrated the release of his debut LP Still In Bloom with a performance at Stateside at The Paramount in Austin. Coming up is a performance at The Blueroom at Third Man Records in Nashville on Sept. 14.
