Young Girls 6.9.16

Young Girls is an indie-pop trio hailing all the way from Houston and these guys can rock. With a sound reminiscent of The Ramones, Television and The Beach Boys, they surf their way in and around attitude-driven drum beats, falsetto background vocals, and catchy single-note guitar hooks. Their latest album, Party Blood, was released by Austin Town Hall Records (Big Bill, Shivery Shakes) back in mid-May. It’s the kind of record that you listen to once and start singing along within seconds. It’s definitely worth a listen!

Young Girls will be having their Austin celebration for Party Blood tonight, June 10th at Cheer Up Charlies. The event is hosted by Austin Town Hall and features: Shivery Shakes, Quiet Kids and Rose Sélavy. Luckily, the group stopped by Studio 1A yesterday to play a few of their tracks. Enjoy their performance below!
