Bill Callahan 6.5.19

We were lucky enough to have Bill Callahan stop by Studio 1A to share some new music from his new double LP, Shepard in a Sheepskin (Drag City). It’s his first album in six years and is already receiving attention from national publications like Pitchfork and The New Yorker. On the new album, Callahan turns his deeply symbolic songwriting inward to document his own experiences with fatherhood, marriage, and family. While the subject matter might be a bit more personal than previous albums, Bill Callahan’s witty, whimsical metaphors and lush soundscapes are still front and center. Scroll down to watch and listen to Bill Callahan’s performance and keep up with his extensive tour schedule in the links provided.
