Austin latin funk mainstays Brownout unleash their dark side with their side project Brown Sabbath. Brown Sabbath is their take on songs by the legendary metal group Black Sabbath, and these brass sections are heavy enough to rival Tony Iommi’s riffs. The rest of the instruments used here have the right amount of doom and gloom to please Ozzy, but their trademark funk always comes shining through. It creates a unique experience that can please metal-heads and overprotective moms at the same time. Brown Sabbath Volume II comes out this Friday, October 28th, and they are celebrating the release at Scoot Inn on Saturday, October 29th. Catch their Studio 1A session below!
