We were pretty lucky to have Dale Watson come to Studio 1A to share songs off his new album. Call Me Lucky, released Friday, Feb. 15, is Watson’s 32nd album and contains his staple classic country sound. Though the Austin music scene has a claim to Watson, he recorded the new album in Sam Phillips Recording Studio in Memphis, TN. Such a historic studio setting could not have been more fitting to capture the iconic sound of Watson and his Lone Stars. Now splitting his time between Texas and Tennesse, Watson’s visit to Studio 1A was all the more special. Check out Call Me Lucky, out now.
