Austin band Del Castillo began when brothers Rick and Mark del Castillo decided to collaborate, choosing not to play their usual style of rock and instead create something that their parents could relate to. The result was an exciting blend of genres with strong Latin undertones throughout. The band was quickly noticed by director Robert Rodriguez, who included their music on the soundtracks of several of his films, bringing them into the national spotlight. The band also found a fan in Willie Nelson, who re-recorded his song “I Never Cared for You” with Del Castillo, calling it his favorite version of the song. Hear Del Castillo live on KUTX RIGHT HERE!
