Diamond Rugs @ KUTX 05.04.2015

Without a doubt, Diamond Rugs deserves the title of “rock supergroup.”

D. Rugs began in 2011 as a collaboration between John McCauley (Vocals/Guitar) of Deer Tick, Ian Saint Pé (Vocals/Guitar) of The Black Lips, Hardy Morris (Vocals/Guitar) of Dead Confederate, Steve Berlin (Horns/Keys) of Los Lobos, Robbie Crowell (Bass/Sax/Keys) of Deer Tick, and Bryan Dufresne (Drums) of Six Finger Satellite. The group released their self-titled debut album in 2012, and reunited to create their sophomore album “Cosmetics,” released in February of this year. In both albums, each member contributes their own distinct sound and musical experience, while working together to create a sense of cohesiveness.

You can see Diamond Rugs perform live on May 4th at The Belmont, or stream their music here on KUTX!
