Doyle Bramhall II is a uniquely gifted guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer who has helped contribute to some of the greatest rockstars to live. Bramhall grew up in Austin, Texas with music coursing through his blood. His father, Doyle Bramhall Sr, played drums with his childhood friend, guitarist Jimmie Vaughan and his brother, Stevie Ray (yes, that Stevie Ray Vaughan) as well as playing for blues legends Freddie King and Lightnin’ Hopkins. Coming from such a musically rich family, Bramhall II picked up the guitar early, playing turned upside-down and strung righty, and would jam with his dad.

At 18, he was asked by Jimmie Vaughan to join the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and two years later, following the tragic death of Stevie Ray Vaughan, he and fellow Austin guitar ace Charlie Sexton teamed with SRV’s Double Trouble rhythm section, drummer Chris Layton and bassist Tommy Shannon, to form the band Arc Angels. He has played with some of the most iconic musicians to ever live including Roger Waters, Elton John, Gregg Allman, Allen Toussaint, Billy Preston, and Questlove. He also became very close with Eric Clapton, recording albums with him and touring.

Bramhall’s most recent album, “Shades”, came out October 5th and he’s coming to Austin to play at Antone’s Nightclub for two nights. The October 30th show is already sold out so make sure to get tickets for the 31st while you still can and celebrate Halloween with one of the most talented guitarists to ever live.
