After the purchase of an electronic organ and just a few phone calls, Fitz and The Tantrums were fused together as one of today’s hottest neo-soul outfits. That organ belonged to Michael Fitzpatrick, who recalls that after one rehearsal, the band could have already played a live show. With such natural musical chemistry, Fitz and The Tantrums have made national shockwaves with what can be called an infectious style of “soul-inspired indie pop”. Fitzpatrick is joined by the charismatic Noelle Scaggs, who’s no stranger to singing soul, as well as multi-instrumentalist James King, bassist Joseph Karnes, drummer John Wicks and keyboardist Jeremy Ruzumna.
Aside from accumulating critical praise on their studio albums, including this year’s More Than Just A Dream, Fitz and The Tantrums are renowned for a fantastic live performance – and we were lucky enough to have them join us in Studio 1A for an exclusive set! Check out the audio from their Saturday, July 13th performance to hear what all the hubbub is about!
