Gurf Morlix may be better known for his role as producer on seminal Americana records by Lucinda Williams, Blaze Foley, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and Robert Earl Keen, but his own music career is equally impressive. His latest record, The Soul And The Heal exemplifies his minimalist sonic approach to deeply profound lyrics and stories. On this trip to Studio 1A, Morlix was accompanied by his trusty stomp boards and acoustic guitar to play us some of the new songs. Dive into his session in the player below!
