Horse Feathers has spent their time in the pasture and now they’re back in full swing.
The indie neo-folk five-piece was founded in Portland, Oregon by singer-songwriter Justin Ringle in 2004. Originally a two-piece, the group has since grown to incorporate violin, mandolin, and piano into their bright sound. Since 2006 Horse Feathers has released five full lengths and five EP’s, with Cynic’s New Year reaching the Billboard charts in 2012.
A few weeks back Horse Feathers released their album So It Is With Us, recorded in a barn in rural Oregon. With the addition of bassist and vocalist Justin Power, So It Is With Us marks the first time the group has had a filled out rhythm section, rounding out their sound with spectacular results. Now Horse Feathers has been keeping busy by touring the nation and warming up crowds with their live performances. You can catch Horse Feathers on Thursday, November 13th at Holy Mountain or stream them right here at KUTX!
