Alynda Segarra of Hurray For The Riff Raff is a bit of a nomad and her music reflects it. Setting out to follow her muse at the tender age of 17, Segarra eventually landed in New Orleans and pulled together a collection of musicians that shared her folk-centric take on indie rock. Now a veteran touring band, Hurray For The Riff Raff are on the road again, touring behind their newest release, The Navigator. The title and the music both paying homage to Segarra’s wandering spirit and global influences. The band took time to stop by the studio to play for a live studio audience before continuing their nationwide tour. Take a listen in the player at the bottom of this post.
