Very dark and so catchy; it’s just addictive.
2) David Ramirez – Watching From a Distance
A very thoughtful and beautiful song, beautifully sung.
3) Brian Pounds – Rattle in my Bones
He just recorded in a live session in studio 1A, an example of a young singer with a wonderful talent committing himself totally to the art and a wonderful group of musicians with him.
4) Grizzly Bear – Mourning Sound
I still don’t know what this song’s about, but I don’t care, I like it anyway.
5) St. Vincent – New York
My clear favorite of all of her songs, a hauntingly lovely melody with a great poignant arch.
6) Secret Sisters – He’s Fine
Two gals singing a sort of country song full of irony, sadness, and tight harmonies.
