Drawing similarities to modern mainstays Justice and Pharrell, all the while recalling the Brothers Johnson and the Bee Gees, London-based modern soul group Jungle provides a refreshing take on the electronic genre.
Jungle’s vibrant mid-70s style funk and R&B resonates comfortably in the electronic format, garnishing the musical collective a nomination for BBC’s Sound of 2014. After breaking through to the international music scene, Jungle put on a memorable performance at this year’s SXSW. Jungle has followed up with the release their debut self-titled album, now shortlisted for the 2014 Mercury Prize.
A glimpse at some of their videos gives a taste of just how much fun Jungle is.
