Kellye Gray is an accomplished jazz singer whose bluesy voice and versatility establish her as one of Austin’s finest voices. Gray burst onto the 1980s Austin music scene with the benefit of appealing to both the UT college crowd and older-generation Austinites alike. Soon after releasing her debut record, Standards in Gray, Kellye achieved national attention for her warm, expansive voice. Gray’s vocal flexibility is equally the result of her early onstage career as a stand-up comic, her father’s record collection, and exposure to southern music from a young age.
