Laura Scarborough might just be the most prolific Austin musician you’ve never heard of. Her new solo record, Reflection, hopes to change that. As a classically trained pianist and accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Laura Scarborough has lent her considerable talents to many Austin bands, most recently the otherworldly funk outfit Golden Dawn Arkestra. Fresh from those interstellar voyages, Scarborough returns to her roots with a collection of 9 piano songs pulled from personal experiences of love and loss. She’ll be celebrating her record release with a party at The Townsend on June 8th but you can get a sneak peek of her new music from her recent session in Studio 1A. Enjoy!
