Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) grew up on long island in early 2000’s, loved the Ramones, and started an indie rock band with his brother? You probably haven’t wondered that, because you have a life to lead, but it gives you a start on understanding The Lemon Twigs. Their music has all of the harmonic integrity of Mozart or Beethoven, but with the attitude of Big Star and the comedic timing of Wes Anderson. The video of their first single “I Wanna Prove to You” is objectively hilarious, certainly worth a watch. Brothers Brian D’Addario and Michael D’Addario use a combination of unique sounds and clever lyric writing to create a truly unique experience.
