Lord Huron @ KUTX 05.11.2015

Indie folk project Lord Huron have been forging their way down a dusty musical path.

The LA-based four piece, which evolved from Ben Schneider’s one man musical endeavors, create richly textured folk music that has slowly grown from carrying a slight country touch and an eye towards adventurous narratives, to include a wider range of influences with a flair for genre based cinema. Their sophomore album Strange Trails, just released in April, still sports reverb-heavy vocals and melancholic tales, while the stories from this darker world are set against a rhythmic backdrop with elements of pop, surf rock, and Americana.

You can catch Lord Huron’s live performance tonight, May 11th, at Stubb’s and you can stream their music right here on KUTX.
