Lyle Lovett at KUTX 9.10.13

Lyle Lovett is understandably pretty busy being an awesome music legend, so we’re pretty pumped that he’s taking the time to come down to KUTX (for the second time this year!) for a live performance. If you live in Austin, or Texas, for that matter, you’re probably pretty familiar with Lovett’s career, but we’ll recap for you folks, just for fun. He attended Texas A&M in the late 70s. He released his incredibly successful eponymous debut in 1986. Though most folks call him a country artist, he incorporates jazz, folk, and pop into the country framework. A number of his albums have gone gold, countless songs have made it to the charts, and his dedicated following is always growing. The four-time Grammy winner, and Texas native, released his most recent album Release Me last year.

We know you don’t want to miss his live performance in Studio 1A on Tuesday, September 10, at 2 p.m. with Jay Trachtenberg, so be sure to tune in! He also plays an ACL Live show at the Moody Theatre on Tuesday evening, and again on Thursday, September 12.
