With their second-post reunion album, RIDE continues to evolve as they tinker with the original shoegaze sound that brought the English band together in the 1980s. The new album, This Is Not A Safe Place came out Aug. 16 on Wichita Records and has since sparked the group to embark on a tour. Prior to their show that evening at Mohawk, RIDE talked with KUTX’s Laurie Gallardo on the recording process of the new project and their status as trailblazers. We were treated to an acoustic rendition of their tracks, which you can listen to (that and their live Studio 1A performance) below.
