L.A. native Robert Schwartzman has been kicking out the jamz as Rooney ever since teaming up with a group of like minded high school friends in the late 90s. Now with more than 15 years of experience, including tours with The Strokes, Jane’s Addiction, and Queens of the Stone Age, Schwartzman and crew have perfected their own brand of power pop full churning guitars and fun, eminently catchy choruses. The veteran touring group stopped by Studio 1A and played a couple of songs off their forthcoming EP, El Cortez, out July 28th, before hitting Barracuda as part of an epic cross country tour hitting both coasts and everywhere in between.
