Rostam is made up of former Vampire Weekend member Rostam Batmanglij on vocals, David Tangney on cello, Julian McClanahan and Wynton Grant both on violin, Nick Kennerly on viola, and Jeff Curtin on drums. The band stopped by Studio 1A to chat and play a few songs before their sold-out show at ACL Live. Their sound is the perfect marriage of classical and modern, and Batmanglij’s voice melds the two genres together seamlessly.
